AboutMe

security, and national identity. In this project, I aim to give a voice to Turkey's four neighbors-Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Syria-to express their opinions about their socio-political and cultural relations with Turkey. To this end, I have interviewed a citizen of each neighboring country and analyzed their responses in an open-minded if critical manner to portray their perception of similarities and differences their counties bear to and from Turkey.
The interviews alternated between serious and light-hearted tones. No matter how restrained and problematic neighborly relationships can be at times, cultural practices and a shared history bring all these countries together through the language of food, music, and dance.
